Day 30 - Agadir - third day

We spent last night in the alley just like the previous night however Tina did not have a good night as she did too much walking at the souk during the day. She took more medication than usual and spent all morning and a substantial part of the afternoon in bed. She did feel a little better as the afternoon wore on.

We have had a few jobs finished today. They have fixed our habitation door lock so we can now feel secure. The lock was broken inside and after fitting it back in to the door it would still not work. After much discussion and lots of head scratching they finally reset something electronic and it now works.

They have fitted some brighter lights to my awning light and will be fitting some L.E.D. bulbs tomorrow. They also repaired the large window stay in the bedroom. However we had to move the van this evening as we could not close the window without opening it fully and initially there was not enough room.

They have looked at the oven and intend to bring in a specialist to look at the hob tomorrow. They have also taken our base cushions away to fit some velcro, we think, so that they will not move so easily in the future. The small door to the garage has been straightened out and repaired and painted. It is almost back to how it was before I tried to rip it off at home in Andover.

Mustafa thinks that we should be finished by lunchtime tomorrow… only two days longer than the original estimate. This is Morocco time in action but I am not complaining as the prices are so reasonable compared to the UK.

We were joined today by a further two vans from Taghazout, members of our clan, who are also here now having work done. The 2 vans I came with on Wednesday were completed late today and they are staying on a school car park across the road and leaving tomorrow morning and heading south. We are heading north back to the port and leaving Morocco in a few days.

30 January 2014

Day 29 - Agadir - second day

Woke this morning early so that we could be ready when they want to start on the van. The jobs seem to be done in fits and starts but are all being addressed. However I keep finding things for these guys to do.

The van has been prepared for the spraying and they are waiting for good weather so that they get the best chance of doing a good job. I have also been told they are going to take out the cooker and the habitation door lock tonight. Its amazing what they achieve in such challenging conditions compared to thos that we see in the UK. It looks like we will have another night here in the alley.

29 January 2014

Day 28 - Agadir

We were up early as we were going into the garage to have some repairs done. The plan is to stay overnight as we will be having some paint work done.

Fortunately we did not have any issues getting started and left Taghazout at around 09:30am.

In the afternoon I updated the iPad for Kiwi Colin as we have managed to get some free wifi. I also updated all of the apps on my own iPad. Tina and the other girls went into the same souk we visited on Sunday. She bought a number of things including some earrings, a jacket and money belt for men and some provisions.

We are staying here tonight and hope to be finished tomorrow.

28 January 2014

Day 27 - Taghazout - eighth day

A relaxing day today. Tina spent some time with some friends we have made whilst I try and sort out an iPad and unlock a midi for Kiwi Colin. Later in the day the unlock code cam through from the one I ordered the previous day and I set too and unlocked his mobile router. We then tried to update the iPad but later ran out of band width.

In the afternoon I eventually had some success with the Galaxy Tab and we got it to boot up in safe mode so all was not lost.

In the evening we sat out and had a get together to celebrate Margaret's birthday. It was going to be our last night of being together as many had or were moving on.

Daiboy lent me his generator to put some power into the engine battery as I was concerned that we might not start in the morning.

27 January 2014

Day 26 - Taghazout - seventh day

Yet another lovely day with clear skies and warm temperatures.

Whilst I spent some time trying to help others with their Navigation devices and Laptops Tina was busy with a borrowed twin tub washing machine. She connected it up to the inverter and managed to clear most of the dirty washing we had and filled not only our washing line but it seems everyone else’s.

In the afternoon Tina had a nap and I continued with trying to resurrect a Galaxy Tab which was stuck in an update loop. No success however.

I decided to try my djellaba in the evening. We sat outside and it certainly kept me warm…. I now understand why the locals wear them. Tina spent the evening in and went to bed early.

26 January 2014

Day 25 - Taghazout - sixth day

Yesterday evening sunset did not disappoint us as it has been another really warm day.

It started well with an invite to all of our group to join Malcolm for a bacon butty this morning at 10:00am. This gave everyone a real chance to have an informal gathering where many discussions took place. At just before 12:00 noon we made our way to the road where we caught a bus into Agadir which is about 45 minutes away. Leaving the bus we made our way to the local covered market spread out across a vast area. Here we purchased local produce, spices, some moisturising oil, some presents and a djellaba for me. I also hunted out a internet top up for sim card which was 50dh for 10 days or 100dh for one month. I chose the 10 day top up as we plan to cross back into Spain in early February.

With a full bag of goodies we made our way back to the bus station to catch the 4:30pm bus back to the camp. Getting back to camp we took the pills we missed taking this morning and I activated the top up by text message. Spent some time this evening trying to help someone with understanding Skype on their iPad mini.

Likely to be an early bedtime for both of us as we have done a lot of walking and now very tired. The day has been a real experience and we have all thoroughly enjoyed it. Look forward to what tomorrow brings.

25 January 2014

Day 24 - Taghazout - fifth day

After a leisurely breakfast we walked to the local village with Eddie & Carol to try and pick up some supplies. The walk took us along the beach and across some stones and up into the village. It wasn’t very far and we then had a look around a few of the shops … there weren’t many in the village to see. Bought some water, bread and potatoes. The rest we will buy tomorrow when we go to the market in the nearest city, Agadir.

We crossed the road and had some coffee in a restaurant and at about 12:00 we started to look for some transport back to camp. After some negotiations we paid 30dh for a bus ride for the four of us. We got back just in time for me to watch Bournemouth play Liverpool in the FA Cup live on ITV. John and I watched the game on my laptop and not surprisingly we lost 2-0.

Later in the afternoon we had the water bowser fill the van with water at a cost of 20dh (approx. £1.50). Some of the guys had been collecting wood for an evening get together around a camp fire. So our Beer O’Clock was relocated to a sandy area where we lit a fire and the fun began. It was lovely as the sun went down on another hot day in Morocco. The sunset promised another warm day tomorrow.

As we finished for the night it was announced that bacon buttes were to be served at 10:00am in the morning. The joys of camping.

24 January 2014

Day 23 - Taghazout beach - fourth day

Woke this morning to find that the winds had dropped and clear blue skies. Temperature must have been in the mid to high 20's.

I spent some time trying to sort out some mis-information on a lady's hymer she had recently purchased. She had purchased the van in Northern Europe and travelled to Morocco with her young daughter having never motorhomed before.

The internet today was so much better than the past few days. We put it down to it being prayers day here and the businesses are not working and most people would be in the mosque. I spent some time this afternoon converting Tesco club card vouchers to use at Eurotunnel but then found that we could only use them on a return crossing originating in the UK. I will have to book a crossing for 2015 to use these vouchers. Instead I confirmed a booking for the end of February.

Beer O'Clock was soon upon us and we joined the others for a social gathering. It continued on late into the darkness. It is a real pleasure being with some Fun people.

23 January 2014

Day 22 - Taghazout beach - third day

Tina was not feeling too good today. She stayed in bed a little longer and only later in the afternoon she started to be her usual self.

We had the usual sellers around trying to scratch a living. Tina took a shine to some bracelets which we eventually bought after some negotiations (aka haggling). She even managed to persuade him to go into the next village and buy us some bottled water, True to his word he turned up with enough for us and another fellow camper.

Tina and I discussed some possible scenarios of how we might spend the next few weeks. I suggested that I would like to spend some time in Southern Portugal and visit an expat who specialises in satellite TV. So after this I spent some time getting some information about sites in Portugal that we might use. Our rough timings are to stay here till about Monday (today is Thursday) and then start our journey northwards very slowly visiting a few places on our way back to the port. We would cross about the 9th which would give us 7-10 days in Portugal followed by up to 14 days to get home in early March.

At Beer O’Clock (approx 4:30pm) we gathered to join the other brits here and in total there were 30 singing 60s and 70s classics along with 3 guitars, 2 banjos and a tambourine. Great time had by all.

After our evening meal we Skyped Stacie and called my Mum.

I wonder what tomorrow will bring!!!

22 January 2014

Day 21 - Taghazout beach second day

We awoke this morning with the weather being a little more overcast. I was conned out of money whilst we had photos taken with a camel.

Soon we were off to the market in the next village known as banana town. We caught a "bus" for 3dh each. It was a very old transit with windows and some bench seats in the back. Still it got us there for a princely some of 22.5p in English money.

In town we got some money from an ATM and then wandered around the market. What an experience....not one that is easily described. After much haggling we left with some carpet, shoes for me, vegetables, tea pot, nuts, olives, dates, pickled lemons and a table cloth. We eventually managed to get a taxi back by changing our position from everyone else.

Tina had her haircut by a German lady this afternoon. She made a really good job of it. Later a number of us got together for a drink and chat and then the guitars came out. More of the group joined as the afternoon went on. Although a little cold we had a good time until we broke up at about 7pm.

21 January 2014

Day 20 - Taghazout beach

We left the campsite this morning at 09:30am and drove to the Marjane (hypermarket) we had spotted coming back from the square last evening. Tina wants to buy a plastic washing machine preferably a twin tub. Not sure where would store it in our Tardis but she would find somewhere I am sure.

The special offer of a single washer had sold out - 299 dh. We bought some other essentials including 5l of oil. We left there at about 11:00am. Later we understand that the five remaining vans had also attempted to find the same supermarket but instead found themselves driving around the centre of Marrakech for 90mins and whilst doing so one had scraped his awning against the side of an archway.

Ken and I pushed on towards our destination and stopped about halfway in some services. On leaving we met this group going by. A little while down the road we passed them as they were going to Tiznit some 50km south of Taghazout.

We arrived and found the existing group of Funsters and found a spot looking out to sea. The weather was hot and most enjoyable. Later I joined the others in the evening and had a couple of beers sitting with them.

20 January 2014

Day 19 - Marrakesh second day

We had a leisurely morning and did not get up until late. Tina did some cleaning up and I updated our web site with some photos etc.

We joined the others at 1pm to catch a mini-bus into the city. How the driver misses the bikes, scooters and cars I have no idea. There is definately a technique to driving in this city. We were dropped off outside of the main square and then wandered into this busy space. There were the snake charmers and assortment of other folk doing things.

Ken, Lynda, Tina and I then had coffee at the top of a restaurant over looking the square. Then we decided to explore the Souks….the narrow market stalls with all sorts of things to by. Everyone of the stall holders asking you in to inspect their goods in various forms of broken english. We wandered aimlessly around for a couple of hours and towards the end we were constantly asking the way back to the main square. It would be so easy to get lost. We did find ourselves going around in a circle at one point.

At around 4:30 pm we decided that we would not try and come back for the evening but instead have a meal before the bus picked us up at 5:40pm. We finished our Chicken Tagine with about 10 mins to spare before the bus brought us back.

Getting off the bus we were directed to the site’s gift shop where Tina finally spotted a handbag she had been searching for al afternoon. After some haggling of the price from a starting point of 400dh down to a finally agreed price of 250dh Tina walked off back to the van with her bag.

Both of us are now exhausted after all of the walking and will most probably have an early night. Leaving site tomorrow but yet to decide where next. Sleep will clear the brain.

19 January 2014

Day 18 - Marrakesh

We had thought that we would visit Marrakech on the way back up the country but with the forecast not being to good until later in the week we have taken the opportunity to change things around.

The drive down was undertaken in heavy showers and periods of bright sunshine. Got to the camp site and the sun has come out. The group have negotiated a rate of 65dh (incl elect).

Probably take a taxi into the city tomorrow.

18 January 2014

Day 17 - Mohammedia second day

Rained heavily throughout the night and we awoke to find a swimming pool outside of our door. More showers during the day but there were some bright intervals in the afternoon when Tina got the washing hung out and dried.

The others decided to get a couple of taxis in to town but we stayed behind. They said later that there was no real centre to the town. I listened to the Bournemouth commentary in the afternoon and Tina had a lay down.

Later I put a film on the laptop. It was connected yo the Tv and was working fine until I needed to move the cable then couldn't get it to work again. Note to self.... Replace the apple cable.

Nice relaxing day ... No driving... Just enjoying the time together.

17 January 2014

Day 16 - Mohammedia

Read early in the morning that the group were moving on 10am however Tina found out at 9am when taking the dogs out they were just about to leave. We decided to let them go and catch up later.

Left after about 30 mins and travelled on down to the site. We passed an Aire on the way where the advance group had parked up and we did not notice until we had passed the entrance so we carried on. Got to the site and were welcomed by Mike & Lynda. Showers and wind all the way on the journey together with a quite a few radar traps made for an interesting drive.

More showers through the evening and night but we are on a hookup and the batteries are charging. Invited to join Mike & Lynda in their van this evening.

Thinking of plans for the next few days but it does depend on the weather forecast.

Travelled 268 km today.

16 January 2014

Day 15 - Asilah second day

Unable to get our Maroc SIM card yesterday owing to it being a religious holiday and the shop being closed. So the group strode up the rode to the shop at 9am before we were ready so I wen tip a little later to find one person serving with at least 15 in the queue so decided to go back later.

Finally got the sim later in the morning and proceeded to set up the MIFI to make the connection to the internet.  I helped Carol and Eddie set up their connection and then some time catching up on updating Facebook, my website etc.

Weather not very good as it is still showery and a cool wind.

Moving on tomorrow.

15 January 2014

Day 14 - Asilah (first day in Morocco)

We left the car park this morning on time at 08:30 with about 15 in our party. It was surprising that most of the French vans who had come during the evening last night had already left to take the early ferry. There must have been in excess of 100 vans on the car park last night.

The short drive to the port was straight forward and we then queued until they opened the gate for our ferry. Finally we had our passports, tickets checked and given boarding passes for outward ANC inward journeys.

We boarded the ferry and found ourselves turning on board to come off the way we went on. During the short crossing we had our passports stamped with a CIN which is the Moroccan ID number we will need throughout our stay.

The next challenge was to get through customs and the police. We finally hot our stamps, registration and import documentation for the can and we were on our way. Next stop was to change our money. The rate was 10.74 dirhams to the euro. Morocco seems to be a cash based society and credit cards are seldom used.

Now on our way down the toll motorway we fill with fuel at the first garage. 520 dh for over half a tank of fuel....very good value at approx 60p a litre.

We arrive at Asilah and the first contingent of vans have negotiated a deal on our parking.... 30 dh tonight. Our next thought is to get a Maroc SIM card but it seems that it us a religious holiday and the shop is closed. We will try it in the morning.

The parking area is on a car park right next to the beach. The dogs loved the sand and sea and were running around enjoying the freedom.

We travelled 89 km today.

14 January 2014

Day 13 - Algeciras Lidl car park

After servicing the van this morning we left at around 10:30 to make our way to Lidl where we would do some final shopping and purchase the ferry tickets for the morning.

I drew some of our spending money out in cash in readiness for converting it in the morning when we arrive at Tangier Med. Had some problems with remembering the pin for one of our cards and after many calls back to the UK finally succeeded in unlocking the account and getting the card to work in the ATM.

Later in the afternoon we moved over to the car park where we are to spend the night. At approx 19:30 we are meeting in Macdonalds to receive the tickets and papers we will need to get across the water to Morocco. Later in the evening they brought round the tickets with our free gift of some cake and a bottle of cider.

I helped yet another person with their TomTom and how to enter coordinates in the different formats. I think he finally understands when longitude is negative and degrees, minutes and seconds.

We had some rain in the evening and I wondered over to a B & Q style place and gad a look around. For the first time I was unable to get any satellite signal so we decided to have an early night as we are leaving at 08:30 for the port.

All ready now for the start of the unknown to begin.

13 January 2014

Day 12 - La Bella Vista last day

Spent time today sorted out the van for our crossing tomorrow. Tina cleaned the van and hoovered the sand that she found everywhere including our bed.

I spent time with John trying to move his music from an old iPhone to a newer iPhone but was not able to complete before we strolled yet again to the marina for an evening meal with lots of the people we are travelling with.

Once again the food was good and the company was most enjoyable. Strolled back at around 10pm. It took about 20 minutes as we were both suffering with aching bones. Tina went straight to bed as she was exhausted.

Relaxing day after so many of the previous days had included large amounts of driving.

12 January 2014

Day 11 - La Bella Vista second day

I was asked this morning to help John with maps for Morocco and Western Europe on the Ipad. Spent all morning trying to explain and set things up. Got the bike out and went to look for a cashpoint so that we had some money over the coming days.

<div></div>

<div>Later we strolled down to the marina and had some lunch in a cafe bar. Very enjoyable company and good food.</div>

<div></div>

<div>We stayed in and watched some telly in the evening.</div>

11 January 2014

Day 10 - La Bella Vista

We have today travelled down the cost past Algaciras to a commercial campsite to meet up with others who will also be crossing on Wednesday to Morocco.

We arrived after our 2 hour (165 km) journey about 1pm. We checked in and got ourselves sited. We introduced ourselves to the neighbours, John & Kathie from South Wales, who will also be joining us on our adventure. Next we topped up the fresh water tank and sorted out the inside. It was good to get some WIFI access so that we could catch up with the news, email etc and I was able to listen to the match where AFCB lost 3-0 to Wigan. Disappointing but not unexpected. During the afternoon Tina did 3 loads of washing and drying so we are now ready to embark on our adventure with fresh apparel.

In the evening a number of us strolled down to the local marina which is about 10 minutes away. We spent a very pleasant evening drinking and chatting and getting to know a few of the people that may well be our companions over the coming days. Getting back to the van I turned on the TV and after some time was able to get Match of the Day which I watched until 11:30 in the morning.

A great day and looking forward to what will come tomorrow.

10 January 2014

Day 9 - Sanlucar second day

Quiet day today. Weather nowhere near as good as yesterday however it is dry but very overcast hence the temperatures have been moderate.

Took a walk up to the town and found a small local supermarket and did a few essentials shopping. Local bread man came round the site this morning at around 10am.

Tina took the dogs for a walk over the beach this afternoon and let them off the lead. Woody took off straight for the water and decided to go swimming. He wouldn't come out when called for ages. Eventually Bobby barked at him and he came back to see what happening.

Tomorrow we are off to a commercial site so that we can recharge the batteries (no charge put in today) and do some much needed laundry. Hope that we can pick up some WIFI so that I can listen to the match commentary.

09 January 2014

Day 8 - Sanlucar De Barrameda

We travelled a little further today (370 km) so that we could get near the sea and some sunshine and warmth. We are not disappointed.

Neither of us slept well last for different reasons. Tina was suffering from indigestion and I was worried about not being able to sort out the DA website. I lay awake for what seemed hours at around 3am.... The street lights at the site were streaming light in all night.

The site had in excess of 20 vans overnight and we were the last on the official Aire. When we put the blinds down at around 9am, which for us was early, there were only a few vans remaining.

We left Caceres at around 10am and arrived at our destination at approximately 2:30pm. The roads once again were excellent and all but 50 km on motorway standard dual carriageway.

The site is in a sandy car park with views looking out to sea. I am sure that in the summer it is busy and could cram up to 100 vans on this site. The temperature at 3pm is 20 degree Celsius and virtually no wind. Just like a summers day in the UK only this is Spain in January.

08 January 2014

Day 7 - Caceres

After a good nights sleep we were one of the last to leave the site. The plan originally was to travel only a short distance and then the following day spend 2 nights at Caceres however on consulting the books I realised that the maximum stay at Caceres was 1 night so plans changed.

Good journey on dual carriageways all the way. The roads are excellent and easy to drive although can be boring.

We arrived at about 3pm to find we had the last spot in the recognised Aire. The couple we met in the morning arrived about 30 minutes later and went and parked up on the unofficial overflow. For the first time I could not get the satellite dish to lock on to Astra 2 so will not have any TV tonight. It was not unexpected as we are now well down into Southern Spain and on the edge of the footprint.

We are going to travel to an Aire on the Atlantic Coast tomorrow and if we like it we will stay a couple of nights

We travelled 370 km today

07 January 2014

Day 6 - Palencia

Today our plans changed a number of times. We needed some provisions so needed to find a supermarket. It doesn't seem to work like France here in Spain as there are no major signs to follow and no out of town areas that we found.

We headed toward Briviesca which we found to be at the top of the town right next to a sports stadium. The only obvious supermarket was back in the centre of town where we would have had difficulty parking so we decided to move on. Our next location was chosen to be Burgos. We finally found a shopping centre with an adjacent car park and the supermarket seemed to be associated with Auchan, the French chain of supermarkets. Here we stocked up on a few essentials including our annual look at the crockery.

After leaving the store we made our way to the Aire which turned out to be a car park where we would needed to have purchased a ticket but unsure for how long....it seemed to indicate a maximum stay of 2 hours. We decided to move on again and programmed the sat nav for Palencia.

Arrived just as the sun was going down and only a small number of dedicated spaces for Motorhomes left in this busy car park mixed with other vehicles. In the end there were 19 stayed over night. There wax a park but dogs were not allowed. Found out in the morning that there was a walk along the river a short distance from the entrance.

In the morning we met another English couple from Suffolk who had an Autosleeper. They were also making there way to Caceres just like us and then on to Portugal. They left just before us.

We travelled 336 km to get to Palencia .... More than we had planned.

06 January 2014

Day 5- Hondarribia

We left today at around 11am after showers and servicing the van.

We headed towards Bayonne so that we could get some replacement wiper blades. I noticed that when I had swapped them over, due to the driver blade not clearing the rain, I failed to realise that they were not of equal length so it was time to get some new ones. Eventually we found Noroauto which is like the France equivalent of Halfords.

Next we made our way to Hondarribia which is a car park right next to a marina and a headland. Great views out to the sea. There are about 10 vans here. We now have had our first taste of Spain. Can't say when we entered Spain from France as there was no place en route that told us just the signs seemed different and the cars had Spanish number plates.

Quiet afternoon relaxing after travelling only 120 km today. We still have a week to travel down through Spain to get yo the camp site to meet up with the others. Checked but could not find any free wifi access. Back to the kindle I suppose.

We would certainly like to come back again.... Very nice overnight stop

05 January 2014

Day 4 - Mugron

We had a more relaxed day today. We had a leisurely breakfast and left about 11am.

We headed for a site that had full services including free electrics so we would be able to charge the batteries fully again. The site has a small park area where the dogs were able to have some good walks. They seemed to appreciate it. The site certainly is not picturesque but fits the bill at this time of the year.

We travelled 185 km today. Will service the van tomorrow and have showers etc as we can fill with fresh water after.

04 January 2014

Day 3 - Monbazillac

Our original plan was to go to a planned Aire I had gotten from a forum. On arrival we couldn't see any signs of an Aire so decided to go and look at one on the main road which turned out to be a campsite closed for winter. Next stop was in god centre of Bergerac but again we couldn't stay as they were building on the location. After briefly looking at the books we decided to travel to our overnight stop at a car park for the chateaux at Monbazillac.

No facilities but a quiet location initially on our own but later joined by one French van who left early. Tried to see if we could pick up someone's internet but no luck. Want to get some access as I want to follow AFCB in the FA cup this afternoon. My chance to use the EuropeSIM I purchased in th UK. After trying to understand where to get the pin from that was being requested and changing the settings on the MIFI I finally got it working. However it wasn't long before the speed got down to a snails pace and it was very frustrating so I turned it off and thought that this would have to be kept for emergencies only.

The distance travelled today was approx 190 km. not a bad stopover for the night.

03 January 2014

Day 2 - Bessines Sur Gartempes

Our destination today was Bessines Sur Gartempes. This turned out to be a small square in a pretty village. Later in the evening we discovered that the French vans had connected up to electric so it was only right that we should do the same. After hunting around in the packed garage I found the French adaptor for the electric lead so that we could plug in to the household style connection.

Last night must have been one of the windiest nights I have ever known. The van rocked all night even though it was fully loaded.... Some would say overloaded as we have all the dog food, tinned baked beans etc we are likely yo need together with full water and fuel tanks. We arrived in the dark so in the morning we got a better idea of how big the site was. It must be capable of taking around 100 vans in the summer.

On a travels down we encountered more wind and torrential rain. The drivers wiper was not clearing the water well in my eyeliner so it was making driving more difficult. At points along the journey the sun came out and was very bright. A complete mixture of weather on this journey of 560 km.

Definitely like to come back to this spot and maybe spend a little longer. I was able to connect to SFR Fon using my BT internet credentials. First time I gave attempted to do this in France. Success!! I was able to get a few emails done and also research the settings I needed for the IPhone to work on Toggle mobile. Another success.... What a result.... Now I don't feel so cut off from the family and friends.

A shorter journey tomorrow as we are ahead of schedule

02 January 2014

Day 1 - Le Crotoy

We start our adventure today by leaving the New Year meet with the Essex group of the MCC. We serviced the van this morning and filled the fresh water tank as we will not be sure when we will be able to get any more.

We left before our planned 10 am set off time and made good progress. The dartford crossing bridge was not closed much to my relief. With no congestion we sailed through and travelled on to Folkstone for Eurotunnel. First problem encountered was that the dogs had not been booked on the outward trip. They were talking of charging us an additional £32 for the privilege even though they do nothing. We were asked to visit Customer Services and then changed the ticket to one way and added the dogs.... No extra money was needed. Result!

Got the train about 90 minutes earlier than booked. On reaching France we then had a vehicle break down about 6 vehicles in front of us. I suppose it took about 20 mins to get the car started again and we were on our way.

We went straight round to Auchan and had a late lunch. We were the only people in the restaurant. After getting some few essentials and filling the fuel tank with diesel we set off for our planned overnight stop. On getting to Nouvion en Porthieu it was a public car park with no dedicated spaces for Motorhomes so a quick search on the ipad we decided to go to Le Crotoy.

A large car park with views towards the town the aire has approx 20 vans here.

Covered approx 60 miles from Calais to get here. Moving on tomorrow.
